Design and erect "DROWSY DRIVING" road signage and banners

CURRENT POSITION

1 "Drowsy driving" signage on the roads virtually non-existent.

2 The very small amount of signage on the roads is incomplete, incorrect, inconsistent and doesn't tell you much.

FUTURE STRATEGIC DIRECTION

1 "Drowsy driving" signage with reference to "mirco-sleeps"

2 "Drowsy driving" signage with reference to "power napping"

Example; "A 15 minute power nap could save your life"
"A micro-sleep can kill in seconds"
See page 37, AKILLA "In the blink of an eye" for other examples of signage

GENERAL COMMENTS

Until "micro-sleeps" and "power napping" signage is visible there is no educational "drowsy driving" message to drivers in New Zealand
