Micro-sleeping on the road - 'Scary Stuff'

In a three second micro-sleep your vehicle travels 83 metres at 100 km/hr. Almost the length of a rugby field ! Some refer to micro-sleeping as 'zoning out'.
Your eyes do not have to be shut, for your mind to be asleep !
When a driver is 'sleep deprived' they can fall asleep at any time. Micro-sleeping can have occurred many times before the final act of falling asleep while driving. Do you know that New Zealand was the first place in the world to produce an image of a 'micro-sleep' in the brain. Have you ever had a micro-sleep while driving ? What happened to you ?
